Ha ha. Well with that much low pressure over the pole it’s difficult to imagine not turning solidly AN down the road. It won’t last forever...I think

I don’t think it will but a few weeks this time of year feels like forever.

I would ask what we need to see moving forward but you may not know either or do uou???‍♂️

Capture This: It’s Christmas Eve in Charlotte. It’s in the low 80s with a southerly wind. A blizzard watch is issued for Christmas Day. Salt trucks are spraying in the hot sunny heat. The next day the storm falls apart and the roads are icky with temps in the upper 50s with clouds! This Capture This moment was brought to you by ME.

The similarities to last year are uncanny. Let’s just hope we don’t see a repeat after the first week of Dec. Though I guess RDU got a big snowfall, can’t be to disappointed.

I’m with you, October was, November has been and December looks to be, I think the MJO will be the decision maker, last year it lived in the warm phases all winter, if and it’s a big IF we can go into the cold phase it should end different.

Does anyone here know Matthew Holiday from First Hand Weather? He is forecasting above average snow for north Georgia this winter with frequent cold shots. My first guess is he is the guy who sold snow shovels to my Peachtree City Target...

Why is the Canadian even a model when it shows maps like this?E7751F34-FD98-475E-B885-0768E5741EFE.png
I’m pretty sure it is impossible for this to happen.

Do not underestimate the power of the Great Radiator when there is a cold high parked right over them on a clear night! I'm sure @pcbjr would agree that them getting down to the dewpoint in this situation would be quite believable. They don't call Hogtown the Great Radiator for nothing. I lived there for most of one winter and experienced it first hand, especially at my favorite park to walk in the evening when radiation took hold. Just thinking about is so refreshing. They radiate so well that it will sometimes push the dewpoint downward.

... However - White Castle! Copious amounts of White Castle!! :)

In NJ (where I grew up early 80s) they had a 24/7 WC with 4 grills and 4 lines - man the people that would show up late at night - I should write a book! Nothing beats 6 fresh off the grill!! Back then they were served on white paper plates and with ketchup standard. Blasphemy these days...

It's not Thanksgiving yet, but it is one month before Christmas, so I think it's okay to listen to Christmas music now. I think the rule should be after Thanksgiving or one month before Christmas, which ever comes first.
