Tropical Tropical Storm Nestor

Well, I'm showing 3.9, but a half inch might, could, maybe from the last storm :) Whatever, this is the gulfiest gulf storm I've seen in years. I pray for these in Jan and Feb. My dream is to have one of these 3 or 4 inchers come up into a SnoJam like cold air mass, and rock my world. Fight the waa and give me a foot of sleet, lol. Oh, man, oh, oh man, how the bottpmless hope springs anew with the blooming of fall. Dry air, pleasant zephyrs, cool nights....and mega gulf storms dumping more rain in a day than I've seen since spring. I'm officially on record as thinking this will be a winter to remember. I call it the Gom effect :) Meanwhile, I've got the heaviest rains all day going on out there now. I was at 1 1/2 about 6, so I've picked 2 in 3 hours.

Man, it is roaring rain out there. I'm at 4 1/2 now, and it's a 5 inch gauge. That stuff scares me, it's been so long since I've seen rain be serious, lol. Guess I'll have to get the umbrella, and brave the unknown for science :) Pour that sucker out, because the way it's pouring, it ain't near finished.
 
Well, it stopped just like that. I can hear the cars plowing thru the swells out on the road, so it's not roaring like it was. That was a thing of beauty, if you like a winter time like gulf low. The only thing missing is the 33 degrees.

Sorry for the longtimenosee post, but I heard GAwx had flickering lights? Hmm. ?
Nothing much just than an half inch of rain. Pretty sure it's gonna go up tonite. ?➡?

Well, it's 55 here so you are closer to the promised land than I am. Don't think it will be long before 33 shows up during one of these storms. Just saw another one coming up soon according to Goofy, and some cold air pressing down with a bit of pink showing up in the Apps. I am so ready. My mood improved 100 percent when the Oct 90's finally broke.

How in the world can the heavy rain cut off be so close? My buddy down in Barnesville was in the flood with me. I guess the train was just that much east of you. I haven't checked but I bet I have another half inch in the pot, and it's semi roaring again out there now. Not that 2.5 isn't a lot, but you are so close and I'm close to 5. T
 
Rain ended here a little while ago and I ended up with a respectable total of .87”. Was hoping for a little more but I am content with what I got.
 
Looks like the rain is supposed to be about done here around noon tomorrow. Might be a good day to go to the state fair.
 
Probably the last bit of serious rain going through now from this system (starting about 15 minutes ago). Gonna turn out very well even though we did have a dry period that was a few hours long.

Great system for at least most of us.
