The only thing I can tell you is always be ready for these things ... I have absolutely no doubt the NHC is right ... but I've seen some quick changes that were soooo unexpected ... not an analogy, but Charlie comes to mind ...

18z HMON comes in just north of Charleston, actually closer to Charleston than previous run.
Has the 18z euro come out and does anyone have it?

Yeah, that is a curve back to the NW at 48.
No it’s not a curve more likely just a wobble. It’s going northeast look at steering.

We have about 36 hours before this storm approaches coastal GA. 3 more euro trends like that would be no bueno.

Wonder if we see baroclinic enhancement to the west like we did with Mathew. We got rocked for a while when the dry air filtered in and mixed the winds down. Without a landfall riding just inland from the coast I ha e my doubts we see significant winds this far inland.

Euro has been the farthest east of the models, too. Keeps trending west, and now has landfall in the OBX.
What is rainfall or winds with the 18z for SC?

Euro is heading right for SC, but then feels bad for them since the Heels beat them last Saturday, and turns at the last minute for NC.

Levi Cowan said this morning that it would happen....might lead to some gradual escalation.
Looks like 18z eps slight shift west also, numerous members just inland and the mean is right along the coast from just north of the Ga/SC border to NC

Trends today are not looking too bright for us here in coastal SC.
Regardless, the wind field expansion was going to hammer coastal SC pretty darn good.. probably parts of GA now and NC of course. If we end up with another Matthew deal, I do think this one is going to be slower.. so while maybe weaker.. blah you get the point.
