Pretty interesting day of sports. Chiefs and Rams took care of business and just some ragged play by UNC, which I think will help the team in the long run. Dawgs looked a bit better today, although lost another SEC road game and it won't be any easier this coming week with Big Blue Nation and Florida coming to town. Still, a work in progress. BTW, did Chelsea win their game today? It was tied 1-1 at half

When a map that is posted say init: 6z...etc then the date, does that mean the time it model ran, then valid on say jan, 13, 2019..does valid means the day it suppose to happen? I hope i making sense, trying to learn a little something.

The EPS leaves A LOT to be desired which is very disappointing. I was hoping that it would start picking up on this good pattern that is supposed to be coming but it hasn't yet. I'm not going to get on board the Snow Bandwagon until it starts showing what the GEFS is showing right now. Been burned SEVERAL times by the overly zealous GEFS.

also the z time you subtract 6 hours for our time... so 12z is 6am and so on

You can be negative in the Banter thread, as long as you’re not attacking other posters, it’s fine.

Just a reminder, folks, there is an ignore feature that works very well. It’s useful if there are folks whose posting style is bothering to you.
 
I see Spann is on Facebook being the weather police . I hope some kid grows up to be something other than a meteorologist and tells him that he wanted to be a met but that all his over the top and dramatic police posts ruined it for him

Yeah we finally have a much much colder pattern moving forward and now inside day 10. Does it mean we score ??? Of course not , even perfect patterns fail . But I like our chances moving forward for a legitimate threat or two

The 18z GFS was obviously a blip! 0z not nearly as cold, plus 6Z doesn’t even get me below 25 degrees the whole 384 hours, brrrrrrrrrr! Pants tightening! One good storm only 384 hours awayD7118537-A5B9-4F58-A67A-4A5D79E11818.png
