Still optimistic about the Tuesday chance. Wouldn't take much to get a good storm here.
 
EPS evolution for 12z Tue over the past few days. Progressively becoming more aggressive w/ more clustering to the NW near the Carolina and VA coasts. This is going to be an epic storm.

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

* LOCATIONS...The mountains of North Carolina.

* HAZARDS...Accumulating snow.

* TIMING...Snow will begin at the higher elevations of the North
Carolina mountains Saturday afternoon, dropping to lower
elevations by Saturday night. Snow will taper off by Sunday
afternoon.

* ACCUMULATIONS...Snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches, with
locally higher amounts along the ridge tops.

* IMPACTS...The heavy snow may create snow covered roads and
produce scattered power outages.

* TEMPERATURES...In the upper 20s to lower 30s.

* WINDS...North winds 5 to 10 mph.
