The last real snow here and one of the best snowstorms of my life was here on March 4th 2015 lol

Not that I'm expecting a repeat but all the snow that winter was after February 20th and that was the 4th storm in a series and also the biggest by a mile
That February was absolutely insane here in Middle and eastern Tennessee. Multiple winter storms from February 16th right through March 5th.

This was just the start. Notice the cutoff with the totals on this monste.

Here’s a monster clipper that came in 2 nights later. Very little precip led to these totals since temps were in the mid and low teens while the snow was falling. Very rare event even in northern tennessee.

And then another snow to close out February 2015.

and finally in March of 2015. No images but here’s the snippet of the March storm.

The last winter storm of a very active 2 week period of winter storms across the region brought another round of widespread ice, sleet, and snow to Middle Tennessee from the evening of March 4 into the morning hours on March 5. Precipitation begin as a mixture of rain, freezing rain, and sleet on March 4 before ending as all snow on March 5. Combined ice, sleet, and snow amounts ranged from 1 inch or less in southeast Middle Tennessee to a whopping 12 inches in northwest Middle Tennessee. Many roads were closed across much of the Mid State resulting in numerous school closings.

Late Fab February 2015 was a great one in NC, too...

This was a great one. My last big snow. :(

Remember this? Now the poopity pooping looks will verify no problem. But this? Not in a million years.

We could live 100 lifetimes and never see that verify. But you see that big blob of red off the southeastern coast? Well, take it and stick it right on top of the southeast and you’ll only have to live 1 lifetime to see that verify 100 times.

An excellent way to put it.

Am I alone in thinking this would suck if we got a repeat of this.

Put it 100-200 miles east of March ‘93 and I’d be happy. A straight up March ‘93 repeat would probably send me into a weenie meltdown at this point.

Generally yes I'd be miserable. Given the last 21 months I'd take the evening of snow

Maybe somebody remembers this better than me for our area but I remember going to snow in the mid afternoon and snowing until around midnight. The snow right after the changeover was decent

We got an inch. It sucked. Next.

Getting an inch in that storm might be worse than getting nothing at all. It’s like getting the rug pulled out from under you right after you get a taste.

In positive news, the weeklies actually don’t look too bad.

That's where the Carolina people fight those west of them. That's one situation I'll be greedy in and take a repeat of verbatim.
It’s really every man/woman for themselves in this game. I love for everyone to get in on the action, but when push comes to shove I’m always rooting for what’s best for IMBY, which may not be best for everyone. And you should, too. :)

Geez mr high standards. Given the fact its approaching 2 years since I saw legit snow that would be a slam dunk to me

1” of snow in that storm would be pretty depressing while the foothills get plastered with 12-24” of concrete, though. :(

Time for bed but one last post for hope. Week 3-4 of CFS. -NAO and npac low. Shovel buying time.

All in.

Obligatory “a lot of our best storms came in late January” post, too (there’s actually some truth to that, though). Maybe the last week or two can save Jammin’ January.

I mean I don't disagree. I'm sure the gfs would be too far E and have us in the ridiculous totals until we get inside 36 hours lol. Seriously though with how bad things have been I just want some snow even if it's a fringe job
