Snow isn't as rare in Monterey as some people think. They had 20" in an 8 hour period in January 1967 !

For what it's worth (& it may not be much given the aforementioned precipitation rate issues) the EPS shifted NW considerably from the 0z run and the mean fell over NC and points north
and less overall QPF if I'm not mistaken...
