No doubt this was probably the greatest board wide event in early December since 1896... Quite a historic storm, the fact that it snowed from northern Mexico to Florida right on the Gulf coast still blows my mind we haven't done that since Feb 1899 and of course in that month icebergs were floating out in the Gulf of Mexico, lake Pontchartrain completely froze over, blizzard conditions were reported in Tampa Bay, and the snow fell in NC with temps in the low-mid single digits. Crazy we somehow found a way to compete with that wrt snowfall on the Gulf Coast
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there some pretty intense warmth that preceded the cold associated with the storm in 1899?And folks where driving cars across some of the sounds that where completely frozen.
