Never mind, getting light graupel now.I saw some graupel mixing with the rain about an hour ago before I left for work. It was definitely unexpected.

NAM has been consistent with at least a couple of inches here.Ok NAM just getting stupid down east now jack-potting Greenville.....
That localized 2 to 3 inch spot in northern Wake looks nice to me.3k NAM has backed off considerably.... most likely more realistic I'm sure
You take these maps way too literal....That localized 2 to 3 inch spot in northern Wake looks nice to me.
No, just happy seeing some snow fall with this. As long as the maps show some snow, I'm good. You take this maps way too literal....
Nope, didn't get snookered. There are winter storm warnings east of the higher elevations for accumulating snowfall. Heavy snow falling in many areas. Once again, an upper level low delivers the goods. Seen it many many times in the past 50 years.I never said that. I said accumulating snow.
I said the H5 low wouldn't track far enough south to bring in enough cold and dry air for accumulating snow outside the mountains and higher elevations (i.e. Foothills). Sorry if you're getting snookered by the NAM.
And it has already been overperforming to the west compared to RAH's earlier forecast.
I'm in downtown and it looks like light rain at the moment here.Brother reporting some flakes mixing in in Raleigh
How much accumulation do you and packfan have thus far and when did it change over?Heavy snow still here in GBoro. Wind is whipping it into a frenzy at times now.
I SURE AM ENJOYING THIS MID ATLANTIC SNOW STORM.
