To clarify this, the CIA regularly transfers military personnel under its command to skirt regulations and bureaucratic procedures regarding use of military force and personnel. The CIA isn’t held to the same regulations, which is why they can operate in foreign nations where use of military force is prohibited. Those servicemen would be fall under CIA command, thus keeping their participation from being viewed as military aggression.
It’s a loophole but the United States has gotten good at using it.

People who NEVER would have had the audacity to openly call putin out are doing so. People that should be afraid of him and they aren't anymore.

The Russian people are about to be set back decades. Their banks are running out of money, assets are being frozen, their web access to the outside world, shut off. Free speech is being limited, media has been taken over. It’s about to become a glorified North Korea once these sanctions choke the Russian society.
At the same time the US is targeting dark billionaires that actually hate Putin. I wonder why now if we knew they were shady before hand? Just repeating Reddit.

Richer yes, stronger NO. He is a villain in every corner of the world not ruled by another dictator (ie China) among others. There is nowhere to go but down. He has become Sadam Hussein. An isolated desolate with no sense of reality or common decency to mankind. You can tell a dictator has run his course when he has to lie to his military in the manner he has with this occupation
Putin is surrounding their largest cities and will lay siege to them until they reach an "amicable" agreement. Russia will eventually help install a new government and they'll have access to Ukraine's resources in exchange for pulling their forces back.

Putin can call victory anytime he chooses but he has already lost. We smoked thousands of terrorist over 20 years in the GWOT and won NOTHING! In fact I love listening to all these know it all generals on the news networks this week who are O Fer in the war arena.

Well that's yet to be determined. He IS guilty of war crimes. What is EU and the USA do about that? What does a long, drawn out insurgency look like and what toll does it take. Are nations still going to buy oil and NG from him?
It's not going to happen in the first few days. A siege takes time by its very nature. They will.

US has “mostly” operated by the playbook with respect to convential warfare within bounds and international norms, I think we can agree at this stage Russia is left of center.

Context, Kherson was a city of ~280K, Odesa is 1mil+. One would expect tougher resistance to be a function of pop centers based on the last week.
Indeed, though honestly Russia has caused less civilian casualties than I expected so far (given their past history). That may yet change as the war drags on, though. It seems civilian casualties have increased in recent days, and as more fighting moves into the cities that will only increase more.

I dont know what a war "win" looks like. Been in 2 and both ended in a tie I guess? I did get a cool participation trophy!
Nobody ever wins in war, to be fair. Maybe I should have worded it more along the lines of, he will get the Ukranian land he wants, but not the people.
War is violent, chaotic and sustained. Execution matters, not medals.
Not to get political, but we just went through 6 years of investigations with no significant outcome.
Russia has made a lot of ground on Ukraine in a very careful way. It’s almost like China/USA is telling them to go slow and make it appear like Ukraine is winning..but all in all the only one gaining land is Russia.
