From a clear military standpoint yes no doubt no other country could touch the United States. But from a nuclear standpoint that’s where it gets tricky. Because unlike some of y’all I don’t know that the United States could shoot them all down. But hopefully we never have to test that theory. So could we wipe Russia out short answer is yes long answer is tricky I don’t think we could get away without sustaining some sort of hit on our soil

The US definitely couldn’t shoot down a mass launching of nuclear weapons shot at us. No chance. I don’t think there’s much, if any, real capability for that. A nuclear war with Russia is unwinnable. All of each country’s major cities would be leveled with tens/hundreds of millions dead.

Exactly. Doesn't mean the threat is at 0 but only someone willing to end humanity would go through with it

First off this is what happens when moms are the ones capturing soldiers, food, tea and reassuring pats/hugs lol....

Remember that all 18 yr old males in Russia are more or less obligated to serve 1 yr.....many many of the soldiers Russia sent into Ukraine appear to be these younger soldiers who are not volunteers and frankly dont want to be there and certainly dont want to die, this is why the rate of surrender and abandonment of positions appears to be so high. Sadly it also means that many of the Russian dead are 18-19 yr old boys who did not volunteer for this....I mean these are just kids....

I posted about it yesterday. Couple this mirage with the fact we are buying Russian Oil at record prices/ financing the genocide. Had Iran in a box and we not only let them out, he is dependent on Russia to get his horrific deal done. There's a lot more as bad as this , but I'll hush because it will pivot the thread into politics. Whole situation reeks.

Does Ukraine have any anti-ship capabilities? Cause if they do and that is the coal fired ACC it would be easy to locate and target

Lets hope so, I think if Putin was planning on greatly increasing forces we would see that movement of troops, and what he has in theater is not enough....maybe he will cut his losses and just take the L but thats tough for megalomaniacs like him to do....but he may not have a choice either.
 
Interesting Putin is sending out the “weak men in his eyes” (kids, 18, those who are surrendering) to die first. Makes you wonder if he’s holding back those who want to fight. And maybe holding back the bigger weapons too.

China will not risk losing the USA and EU market over Taiwan.....or Russia. China plans on winning by making their economy and money the one the world relies on instead of the US....you dont do that by invading people and getting sanctioned. They need us more than we need them.

He dropped a thermobaric weapon on civilians. There are bigger but not more horrific unless of course he goes there which I don't think he will
 
I think once the reality of how many young men have died in Ukraine starts to hit home the already upset home front might boil over....I just dont think Russia had a good handle on what the Ukrainians were capable or willing to do, why send so many unprepared, undertrained men in like this....they really though just the sight of their armor would cause the Ukrainians to fold.....oops.
