Reports Russian troops are on the move and only 20 miles out from Kyiv, what in the world is that going to look like?! Prayers for individuals still there, and it's millions or at least hundreds of thousands. Have no idea how many were able to get out

Reported population 2.9 million..

I'd expect there's now less in the city considering the traffic jams shown earlier today, but likely a significant amount of the population remains. ?

Its gonna look like urban warfare when the sun breaks and they move in. Thats when the blood really starts. He obviously wants Kyiv NOW and it will cost to get it. I hate seeing this

A armored brigade combat team from Fort Stewart GA, 3rd ID, ~3500, will be part of this most recent deployment of 7K additional announced today. Heading to Germany in the coming days/week.

I really think it should be declared an open city. I seriously doubt Russians will fight house to house. They can cut power and water and not allow food in. But if they were to fight house to house would say, 50,000 dead civilians be worth prolonging the fight?
 
Nato, current Administration better decide and act now,position to discourage Russia pushing to the Baltic States. Act now, dont wait to react. When you have to react,you have no options and its a losing proposition. Otherwise Putin will have the old USSR territory maped out and marked once again. If we, NATO are serious, sanctions aint gonna cut it.
Espeacilly when the US,Germany and Europe are importing dirty Oil from Russia. US alone now imports 600,000 barrels a day. To think we threw away opportunity to import 830,000 barrells per day from our neighbor is mind boggeling.
Prayers for the Ukranians. Admire their zeal for freedom even against insurmountable odds.

We've got the right to express our opinion on how we think they defend their homeland. (as you have done)

But that's all. Ukraine has a right to decide how much they are willing to sacrifice to defend their homes. I think we need to respect that considering they are the ones who have the most to lose.

Im quite sure Zelensky isnt reading anything im saying, lol. I just would prefer the loss of life to be minimal.

The problem is the Russian cant just sit outside the city and wait them out, they will be under constant counter attack.....essentially the Russians that surround Kyiv will be mostly surrounded themselves. Besides there is no way to control the population many who are armed, they wont give a crap what the Ukraine government says and will be shooting at Russians every chance they get. Ukrainians need to bleed the Russians for every single inch they get, for as long as they can. Russian forces can not take Kyiv without massive losses, the fighting would be horrendous. I am sure the Ukrainian army has teams of anti tank sappers all over ready to attack Russian armor from roof tops etc....thousands of the people still in Kyiv have been given guns etc.....many of them are reservist or vets with prior training etc.
 
Imagine armor fighting in this landscape.....street level fighting like this is horrible for armor, and certainly will make Russian losses climb quickly.

The Countries of NATO have really neglected their Armies, defense so much, that quite frankly I don't see most of them being able to stand up to Russia. Germany is the absolute worst example. I guess Germany & The rest of Europe were all busy paying for "free" health care and a 32 day work week to worry about protecting themselves. Also of concern to me is a article I read with survey information from our own military recently that was very disturbing.
Now on the flip side , I think folks give the Russian military way more credit than they deserve. Not some invincible force by any stretch of the imagination. Heavily armed/Nuke/ Equiptment yes. Anyway just food for thought. I'm convinced Puttin objective is to go through the Baltic states next, no doubt.
He has a noose around Europe's neck because they rely solely on him for energy. The refusal of the US and NATO not to go full bore and Boot Russia from SWIFT speaks Volumes about the weakness and mindset of these Globalist 1st politicians in charge of these nations that make up NATO. If you think you are gonna cancel out the Puttins and XI's of the world with words, statements etc it ain't gonna work. They laugh at the absurdity of it.
