I will be happy if it stays away. I just think it is crazy how much it changed the last two days. I know it happens all the time with winter storms. The bad thing is the general public sees this and thinks next time the models are wrong and the track will change again, but the next time it might not.
 
I think it's broken. That would defy any storm ever in existence but it couldn't verify

I still think elevated and moderate kind of mean the same thing. And they split Wake right down the middle like they do with winter storm threats.

Still seeing no big models giving mby more than 5”, some as little as 1-2”!? Guess it slows down and stalls till it gets to GSP, then rockets over the apps!

Lol @ people taking the Icon and 3k NAM seriously!??? Wait till January,I’ll break out the two most reliable models for winter storms: the DGEX and JB’s special model, the Pioneer!!
 
JC is such a butt burglar! Has no clue! Says he’s expecting maybe 2” of rain at best, because it’s moving so fast now! Says the faster movement on land will cause it to weaken faster?? WTF? He must have got his Met degree from NCState!
 
Just like winter, NC gets all the good stuff!! Congrats on the North shift!:mad::(

Is there something wrong with NC State's Met program?? Serious question, cause I was looking at either there or UNCC... Ugh.

no idea... I spent one year in the Aggie's met program, until I dropped out to tour with a black metal band.

We track storms for so long (hurricane, winter, severe) and honestly with the late nights and constant watching by the time they get here I’m so dead and tired I don’t even care about them lol. Florence also becoming weak doesn’t help with interest. Prayers to those along the coast and in path though, that rain is going to be something serious.

Ewwww a Tarheel! Run away, run away!! MSU huh? I'll look into it... I was looking at those two schools because they're in-state, which means my VA benefits with FinAid would stretch better to cover cost of living versus paying outta state tuition. Idk, I'm at a Comm College now and have a year before I have to transfer, so I've got a little time

Haven't looked at my local weather in days, but I'm outside on the porch and there's a nice cool breeze picking up a little. Days and nights of tracking and reading and studying this insanity made it feel like it was never coming. It would be better if it didn't, but it kind of felt like a dream up until now.

This would be the year for that weak tropical wave cooling us off, because while July seemed better than normal, September has just been awful. This summer needs to go away.

Florence will have awful flooding impacts though, so it's not that weak tropical wave.
 
It's crazy how a Cat 4 hurricane like Charley produced only 6 to 8 foot storm surge but a Cat 1 hurricane like Irene had 8 to 11 foot storm surge. I would never think that a Cat 1 would produce higher storm surge than a Cat 4.

Allan too lol I was only half serious and a lil grumpy last night. Based on all the social media stuff I've been getting little second thoughts about going into meteorology. Not feeling that way today though, and definitely not gonna significantly alter my short term plans based on one comment on the internet hahaha
