My son has practive from 6-7 Thursday. Should make for a good practice to enjoy the front.
yessir. other than snow the first legit cold front of the fall is always one of my fav weather events.
Same here… might actually feel refreshing to open the sun roof on the way home

Long range GFS continues to insist on a hurricane coming right through the SE in early Oct, been very consistent the past few runs.
Would also bring down the coldest air of the season and a freeze for many mtn locations in it's wake.

GFS has ATL with a high temperature of 62 on 10/5. That would be beyond bonkers

Nashville reached 100 degrees as well today.
Btw, could be a couple of gusty storms around this afternoon, looks mostly eastern NC best potential and definitely not much rain, in fact models look kinda pathetic this morning. Also some decent chilly gust overnight making it feel like Fall with a legit cold frontal passage.

GSP is now at 90. Kinda ironic the first day of fall will be the only such reading of the entire month for the airport. Anyway, that front tonight gonna be glorious! ? ? ?
The temp swing from today to tomorrow is going to be crazy. Like someone hit a switch to turn of summer and turned on fall.

A lot of the models had us close to the mid 90's around here and we've been holding steady between 89-90 back this way. Not to count the chickens before they hatch, but it appears that fall is coming in on time and in full force this weekend and next week.

That must be from one of the jet exhausts getting a little too close to the temperature sensor. From time to time RDU has some dubious readings on the high side and I wonder if there is something to this explanation.
.12" of rain from the cold front. About as good as I could have hoped. Maybe it knocked down some of that Ragweed.
Hoping for a tenth or two given what is working east of 95, going to be hit or miss for sure.
