They really want North Carolina and Virginia as well. The only 2 "Southern" states they currently don't have a footprint in. Also large tv markets.
You know, I’ve been wondering if this isn’t a slap at Harbough. The NCAA doesn’t move fast enough and the entire Big 10 is against them. Maybe the idea of him getting a first round bye and not having to face a SEC opponent made some money change hands.

Everytime i hear that a conference does or doesn't want a certain school, im reminded of the Director's Cup standings which measures NCAA sports success and shows the best overall sports programs.

Doesn’t bring enough money and that format isn’t fair, some school don’t apply to certain sports that are included in the formula.

Its all about the Olympic Sports. Stanford is the largest provider of Olympic athletes by far. By kneecapping the athletic program with all of the conference realignment including what may happen to the ACC, we are heavily damaging our biggest Olympic farm system.

Michigan-Alabama should be a great game. I don't think i know anyone who lives in Alabama, but i do have some family in MIchigan...lol.
Texas-Washington should be good as well. Have family in both places.

It will definitely be Alabama vs Texas in the National Championship with Alabama coming out on top. Saban probably retires and goes out on top.

I doubt Saban retires after this year with a ton of his team coming back and a probable Heisman contender at QB.

ACC is toast now. Gonna lose there top 2 to the sec at a minimum. Today sends them a direct message. Gonna be some good teams in the ACC left behind in addition to the 3 that signed up to cross country and join them. Most likely ore money in college football than the nfl now.

SMU according to the numbers were a much better team.
I can’t wait to watch Liberty lose by eighty though.
The whole thing is stupid and why I'm not nearly as invested in sports as I used to be.

I bet you cant. But its not like they chose not to play p5 this year. Been playing multiple per year since the jump up. They did what they had to do with hand dealt them. Same for FSU, who got hosed. Winning the AAC isnt what it use to be. And to bebfair,neitheir is winning usa. They did beat new Mexico state twice this year and new mexico state skull drug Auburn on their own field.

Yeah their lease runs out in 2027. DC, Maryland and Virginia are all vying for the team. Be nice if they could take the old RFK spot, but i don't think there is enough land there. National Harbor area is really nice along the Potomac with restaurants, bars, casino as well. I think they would rather have a piece of land in Virginia though since thats where the practice facility is. Its so built up now though may be hard to find decent land. Very very expensive to buy land up here.

Looked up the house where i grew up in Fairfax County just for fun and man the homes in my neighborhood are selling between 900k and 1 million. My parents bought it for 86k in 1976.

I never thought Liberty would be able to field such a good team. Its funny that them and JMU were way better than UVA and Tech this year.

ACC was 6-4 vs the SEC… Bama was 9-0 vs the SEC
I could quote FSU's home conference record to make the same point. However, part of me is glad FSU got shut out after they showed their butt by trying to leave the ACC earlier when no one would take them.
