Miami beat Notre Dame. You can’t put in Notre Dame over Miami.

They were probably going to until the Duke upset occurred, once it occurred, they had to put in an ACC team unless they wanted the ACC to flip their sh--.

I was thinking about some of the other consequences of that ACC game, but I thought there might be a slim chance it'd be ND/Miami and drop Alabama out, and not just Miami in and ND out.

I don't think TAMU over Miami is necessarily a lock here BTW. TAMU is a high ceiling team, but they had a weak SEC schedule and missed all 5 of Georgia/Alabama/Ole Miss/Vanderbilt/Oklahoma and the 6th best behind these squads per CFB reference beat them in Texas. If I'm forced to pick, gun to head, I'd pick TAMU, but I suspect that line will probably be TAMU -2.5 or so.

Officially per the Selection Committee chair, which was aired on ESPN, Miami being picked had nothing to do with feeling they should have an ACC team.
