Just go warm 90% of the time and you'll look like a genius.I’m already falling for Day 10 troughs. this was the reason I was a warm miser last winter.... maybe it’s time I become one again

Whats 40 degrees between friends?
Only thing I can add is, your high is supposed to be 70, with a low of 61.. 80% chance of showers. According to NWS.Does anyone have any input on the weather in the Boone area for tomorrow? My app says a cool rain, but I have very little trust in my app.
Looks like a good forecast either side of 70 with showersDoes anyone have any input on the weather in the Boone area for tomorrow? My app says a cool rain, but I have very little trust in my app.
Yeah think they were specifically talking about your house lol. If we get sub 55 I'll be happy
Get the Weatherbug App! It’s greatDoes anyone have any input on the weather in the Boone area for tomorrow? My app says a cool rain, but I have very little trust in my app.
I think it's not a bust if you don't get rain on your rooftop.
Meh, that'll never happen for my area.I'm sure you would feel the same way if you had 80% chance of snow in your forecast.

I'm looking at Dec 2017Meh, that'll never happen for my area.
Did it snow at all? I don't remember.I'm looking at Dec 2017
I remember having a few of the mangled flakes mixed in with sleet when I woke up but I never saw pure snow.Did it snow at all? I don't remember.
Me too! Canadian snowcover theory, FTW! Balmy 65 right nowReally looking forward to this winter. I’m a glutton for punishment.
Winter + COVID-19 = ?Really looking forward to this winter. I’m a glutton for punishment.
We need a seasonal fall followed by an above avg December THEN we might actually have a solid JanuaryWould be a 2020 thing if we have a crazy December ?
Mainly north of 40Isn’t 19 gonna get pulled up by the front and bring lots of rain to the SE? And flooding to Wilkes?
Geez, warm water around the maritime continent, warm waters off the EC, a -PDO....Are we thinking La Niña this year? Southern stream might be nonexistent this year and I’m ok with that. Clippers and cold would be fine by me.View attachment 48362
Warm oceans, cold continents- JBGeez, warm water around the maritime continent, warm waters off the EC, a -PDO....
That may the best post you have ever made! Very true and very Webber-like! ???I know Niñas get a lot of flack for historically being warm around here but El Niño’s are pointless when you have a southern stream as active as last year’s. Impossible to get cold air entrenched down here. Nina’s, although dry, can get us the cold air we need with no active southern stream to wipe it all away. I’m ok with this.
Yep. I think that’s the main concern right now. That has been the fly in the ointment the last decade. Not sure what it would take to bring those cooler SST’s back west towards Australia or if that’s even possible.Geez, warm water around the maritime continent, warm waters off the EC, a -PDO....
Yep exactly, I’m tired of having these crappy marginal southern stream setups which just end up having BL and or WAA issues aloft because the amped nature of systems from a active southern stream, I’ll take my chances which some northern stream action diving right to our west and delivering, sort of like 2017-2018I know Niñas get a lot of flack for historically being warm around here but El Niño’s are pointless when you have a southern stream as active as last year’s. I think April is going to be a whopper of a monthI’m honestly thinking this upcoming met winter and spring is gonna be quite active for severe weather...

I also don't think there has been a -NAO since our last Niña in 2011 if I'm not mistaken. Been a while!I know Niñas get a lot of flack for historically being warm around here but El Niño’s are pointless when you have a southern stream as active as last year’s.
