Misc Pro Wrestling

I feel like WWE is spinning its wheels right now after a few strong weeks after HHH took over. They have had good matches, just feel like I am seeing the same thing happening every week with the storylines and feuds.

The most interesting thing they have going for me is the whole White Rabbit thing. They had another QR code tonight which led to this.

Ive noticed quite an uptick in the performances of a lot of the wrestlers. KO showed a great change tonight, for example. He carried that match for Johnny and who would have thunk that?
 
Kind of tired of the whole forbidden door thing and AEW having these wrestlers from New Japan that most people never heard of instead of just using their own talent on TV. They already have too many on their own roster.

The father of Greg the Hammer Valentine, Johnny Valentine who was probably the biggest heel in the Mid Atlantic region during the mid seventies once said " I can't make them believe that wrestling is real but I can make them believe I'm real". MJF is one of the best at that I've seen in years.
 
Hmm, anyone else see the QR code on Smackdown during the Karion Kross video? I couldn't get it to work with my phone. Interesting that it showed up during the Kross video this time. I have read some theories that Kross and Dexter Lumis could be in a stable with Bray Wyatt when he returns.
 
Big night for wrestling. Smackdown is on, and AEW is live tonight with an extra hour. WWE has the Exrreme Rules PPV tomorrow, too.


So awesome hearing the Smackdown crowd hating Logan Paul tonight.

And the latest QR code for WWE gives this video. It's definitely Bray Wyatt.

I am glad we will finally be getting the little red riding hood version of bray. He's going to look cute in a red pancho
 
A lot of us have grown up too. I never though wrestling was "real" per say, but I do now realize that it's a bunch of grown men in underwear fake fighting over a fake belt. It kind of loses its luster. Then you have WWF/E going over to "sports entertainment" after becoming a monopoly... eh
 
Who's pretending it's good? I enjoy it. You don't, then why bother crapping on it on the thread? I have enjoyed AEW since it started, and WWE has been a lot better since HHH took over.

Can't wait for Extreme Rules tonight.
 
Wyatt's promo on Smackdown last week was great, and then we had the weird video message. Can't wait to see where they go with this.

Moxley vs Page tonight for the AEW world championship. I hope MJF cashes in the chip and takes the title.

Garcia going back to Jericho makes no sense.
 
Haven't been on this thread in a while. Smackdown was loaded tonight with Cena, Charlotte Flair, and whatever is going on with the Bray Wyatt storyline. Cena needs to go ahead and shave that head, though.

The trios match on AEW between The Elite and Death Triangle last Wednesday was crazy.

I haven't been keeping up with wrestling at all lately. Supposedly Vince wants his spot back.
 
Well lets hope it's not true. NBC/Universal is the only company that makes sense to purchase WWE

Vince coming back to take the money, even though he is old as hell, and burn it to the ground because he was forced to walk away. If he sells to the Saudis that will be the end of WWE. I hope he doesn't sell to Disney, either. They will water down the product even more. It has been better since HHH took over, but I still prefer AEW overall. I would love it if Khan bought it and merged WWE and AEW. The matches are better in AEW and they just have more of an edge to their product compared to WWE. The only thing in WWE that interests me is The Bloodline and Bray Wyatt, and even the Wyatt storyline is dragging some. I liked the Fiend character more, too.
 
Matt Hardy teased his Broken gimmick on BTE a couple days ago. As in appeared in his broken coat/robe thing.
 
Sad story about the death of wrestler Jay Briscoe. Died in a car accident when someone crossed the line and hit him head on. His two daughters were also hurt in the accident. There is also a UNC connection. I have seen photos of his dad wearing UNC shirts, so he must have been a Carolina fan. I didn't see Jay and his brother wrestle often because I never followed ROH, but I thought they were great performers from what I have seen. The last match I saw of them was avainst FTR last month and it was a great match. RIP.
