I don't really give a shxt if people WFH...hybrid...5days in the office. But Elon is a lunatic and shouldn't be going on twitter threatening Federal employees and insinuating they don't have value. If they quit because of that do we really need them? Like I said it doesn't take but 2 federal employees to screw in a lightbulb. Elon wants it to be the 2 that want to be there. Sorry but the Fed is too big. It's way too big and that's the simple truth
 
Not sure how many of you played sports in High School but my coaches all said the same thing. The guys who step up and want to be on the field and contribute will play, those that won't....won't. Elon is doing the same thing. If he can get "what we actually need" done with 1,000 people instead of 5,000 people why wouldn't we do that? The government works for us remember? We pay their salaries so why wouldn't we want to save billions of dollars?

Again...you are missing the point due to your anger. Any company paying 5 people to screw in a light bulb should reduce headcount, including our government. I was in sales and now in consulting and have worked with many federal agencies over the years and haven't seen the inefficiencies being talked about. Are there pockets of it...yeah...probably is. But going on twitter and threatening every federal employee isn't right. That's not leadership...that's bully behavior and would be shocking if Trump eventually approves.

Your a vet right? One of things being talked about by Elon/Viveck is reducing funding to support our vets. Thoughts?

They have talked about a lot of things. I am taking a wait and see approach because this is a new approach and I have to weigh things by logic not guessing or internet fodder. I don't use the VA because they just peddle poison but I can also afford private care and many can't. If they can offer great benefits and save money why wouldn't I support that? I have said it multiple times now but no administration has tried anything like this so we honestly don't know. If I said no way you aren't touching my Vet health benefits that would make me a hypocrite and I am far from that but we all have to contribute even in cost cutting measures. There is in point in having a knee jerk reaction here

I don't care if you bash the living hell out of him but you a far better chance of being wrong than being right but that's on you. In all fairness if this backfires Vets are used to it and it isn't something that can't be fixed. We have to try something different because the path we are on has been unsustainable for a long time now

The problem is he will make this decision unilaterally with vivek and when he cuts those 4k out then realizes the downstream consequences are real and not good it will be too late

To be clear...I voted for Trump...not this Elon/Viveck screw the little people DOGE group.

Don't you find it a little ironic the group is called DOGE and Elon pumps the DOGE coin all the time. Like I said...Elon all about Elon.
 
Shocking that so many on here support Elon/Viveck...this is what they want to do. I haven't had one person agree me...our country is so screwed.

With all due respect, how could you not see something like this happening? Elon has been brown nosing Trump for most of this election cycle and Vivek even in his own presidential primary run was pretty much d-riding Trump.

Unless you just weren't paying attention to that which is understandable, how did you not see this coming?

I don't Know why people believe what the Democrat propaganda machine produces when it comes to info. Of course it is meant to instill fear, That's how they win elections.

Vivek and Elon need to step down from these positions. We have a few educated people on here who say they’re not good enough for the job.

Whatever....I don't care anymore. Let Elon purge 50% of the federal employees...cut Vet benefits...shutdown the DOE. That will fix the budget/defecit.

Yes, I’m a Marine vet. Not that it makes me any better than any other citizen but when someone states that you choose to support someone over veterans but yet you are a veteran then that’s asinine to me!

We can't continue down this path of wasteful spending, we simply can't and talk is cheap. I'm sure you would rather just tax the rich into oblivion but you know what happens when we raise taxes on anybody? It creates more bloated, wasteful government. If you need proof of this look at your friggin Government!

Musk should have no say or ability to change anything with NASA either that's a pretty big conflict of interest IMO.
