The thing is I don’t think Trump should even be blamed in a sense for bad policy on his goverment spending during the pandemic. I think it was mostly necessary although a lot of it was spent poorly and such, and again, not his fault. I really think he did what he had to do at the time to keep things afloat.

You are right, it would be a lie to say that Trump increased the national debt the most of any president for his entire term. I neglected important context. Trump increased the debt more than any president in history for his first term. The fact that he is second over-all is still incredible when he didn’t in half the time as most anyone else. Again, I don’t even blame him. The pandemic was an anomaly and spending had to happen. In caused massive inflation because of it. The whole world did the same thing and the same thing happened. I don’t blame him. But to blame Biden and Harris for it is asinine.
I posted Harris’s plan and trumps and gave reasons why I think hers is better and his sucks. That’s how you debate. And provided links to why and where the information is coming from. Someone else kindly referenced an inflationary bill of unprecedented tariffs during the Great Depression that was considered the straw that broke the camels back. That I was looking for. Maybe. They didn’t have a lot of time to get it used in the best way it should have. I hate defending the Trump admin but I’m not going to pretend to think everything he or his administration did or tried to do is garbage. I feel like at least that was done with good intentions and done hastily when it needed to be done. It may sound crazy but I’ve been republican most of my life. I would vote for Nikki Haley over Biden if that was the ticket. Trumps is just trash.
