What a candidate says before an election is meaningless. Obama proved this when he said many times that he understood marriage to be between one man and one woman. But the when the rubber met the road, he changed his position.
The point: a candidate will try to appeal to as large of an audience as possible but once he/she is elected promises be damned.

I occasionally wear a rebel flag. Nothing raciest about it it just hurts people feelings is all. Look even if the war was wrong it’s still history. Doesn’t mean we should erase history people in the south and the north died. So In a way the flag is a symbol of the south and the people that died here. And I agree with President Trump and applaud him for not changing confederate names because Of protesters.

I agree just dont be upset when your judged and considered a racist for wearing that flag on your clothes.....just like people that wear a swastika today I mean killing millions of Jews and other was wrong but its history and the swastika is a symbol so in a way the swastika is a symbol of that time period and wearing it just respects the heritage of those that fought and died under the Nazi flag killing millions.....no reason for anyone to be offended by celebrating that heritage right?

Not at all I’m just stating I’m not gonna change. In order to cater to all these protesters yelling racist. I’m gonna stay me regardless of what people think. And if I’m the minority I’m fine with that.

In Wilkes all the kids (starting in elementary school) wear rebel flag shirts.they have been harder to find I think local Walmart stopped so people here make their own or find at flea markets

If you don't know, in 1921 Tulsa was the place where white mobs attacked black business owners and residents with guns and even dropped bombs on them from airplanes. Hundreds were murdered.

To everyone using the heritage not hate argument, how would you feel if you didn't know your real last name? How would you feel if the people who stole your heritage had statues in honor of them in public spaces? How would you feel if every time you went to court you had to be reminded of these injustices when you are about to be judged?

I was just thinking about this. If the line had originally been “black lives matter, too” instead of “black lives matter”, I think it would have reduced a lot of the retorts of “all lives matter”. I mean that’s what the line is supposed to mean, right?
Well you are the one posting about your knowledge that it wasn’t real and was a joke. It wasn’t crazy to assume a person who was in the know was a part of the group.
