Wait what???? You got to be kidding me. He has already went far beyond what many thought. Look at his record with our economy, jobs, tax cuts ... just to name a few. How can you possibly say that he is a "so-called president"?? He is fighting the deep corruption in this country and every American, including you, should be in favor of that. Whether or not you like the man ..... you have to give him credit. I can't wait to see what's going to happen when the "deep state" finally realizes they have just buried their party's chances for 2020.

I think she is referring to how he acts. No matter how much you like him, you have to admit that he behaves like a 12 year old.
 
I dont get into politics, but it's very important to follow our leaders. Leaders from Governors to president, and many others. Anyone who is in leadership and over our nation needs our prayers for guidance for making the right decisions. I can see some of you on here calling Trump out for his behavior, but I also know hes turned around alot of things for the better. Our economics, jobs, tax cuts many more hes done that no other presidents done in a long time. Our nation doesn't need another down fall, we need time to heal and recover. I believe if Trumps wins this next run that things should get better. If he doesn't win, then our nation wont have time to heal from all the crap that our past presidents put us through.

You know for a guy from chapel hill you don’t seem very liberal lol. Isn’t chapel hill North Carolina’s “ shining beacon”. Lmao, pretty happy to see someone in chapel hill with reason. Chapel hills cancer is spreading down to pittsboro and Chatham county now as well sadly . Weird unbathed hippy vegans the lot of them.
 
Trump won’t be impeached. He will win in 2020 and the repubs will maintain the senate majority. Dems/media will double down and we will receive 4 more good years from the Don while the media works tirelessly to ensure the White House goes blue in 2024.

I can agree on the first part on impeachment, the rest I think is still debatable. 2020 is still over 13 months away. A lot can happen in 13 months, that's eternity in the political world it's challenging to talk in absolutes. That's why I like to be cautiously optimistic. Too much can go right today and go wrong the next. If you had of told me House Democrats would go forward on impeachment inquiry or that 1, let alone 3 Republican politicians would commit political suicide to primary challenge Trump I would have thought that was ridiculous and yet here we are. It's only going to get more ridiculous and outrageous from now until November 2020.
 
I am 47 yrs old and a life long Republican, I am a 80's kid and Reagan is my hero, though I am not a typical Republican, I am pretty much a neo con who wants small government, socially I am more liberal than the average Republican probably.....I have been a never Trumper from day 1, I voted 3rd party 2016 and will again in 2020....Trump is the worse thing to ever happen to the GOP and he will end up taking it down with him. Trump is a con man not a conservative, Trump is a loser in 2020 even without this latest scandal and the Dems are more motivated than ever to get rid of him, his support with the independents is gone, and its because of Trump and his actions that the Dems feel they can actually run left of center nitwits and win, and they are right....2018 showed us the future and what to expect in 2020....and its not good.

My hope is the GOP tells Trump resign or we boot you, let Pence take over and have him appoint Haley as his VP, maybe then they have a chance...then we are setup Haley for 8 yrs and she is IMO by far one of, if not the most qualified current Republicans to be president.

I mainly troll the other board, but I agree with much of what you said. Where I diverge most strongly is about Trump being the worst thing to happen to the GOP and being either directly or indirectly related to the rise of the socialistic platform. That stuff has been bubbling beneath the surface for a while. You can only paper over real issues and force views onto the public for so long before you start to see entities like Trump or Sanders show up as mainstream icons in politics. The government is corrupt, top to bottom. It is now rapidly destroying the trust of the people, and they are having to go to greater lengths to fool us. This is becoming more visible by the day, and it won't be long until even the ones whose heads are buried the deepest will even start to wake up and see. The law of diminishing returns is clearly at work here, and it's all going to come to a head in the not-to-distant future. There is no putting the genie back into the bottle now. Just watch what happens from here....

The people have let the extreme left and extreme right wings have to much control and that's why you end up with crappy options like Trump and Hillary, and we have gotten to the point where the public is jaded and expects the worst from out leaders.....that is OUR fault though. At some point we need to stop allowing these folks to be the face of politics in our country.....IMO Trump has ruined the brand of the GOP so badly now the only real way forward for the party IMO is a total do over......if that means shedding the far right then so be it, a lot of the attitudes and mind sets I see now among the Trumper's frankly scares me, this is not the party of Reagan anymore, its a damn shame really.
 
So I have a two questions about the whole Ukraine situation.

1. How did the son of an American VP get a job with a Ukrainian business?

2. Where the poop is Joe Biden's son in all of this? All of this controversy and the main person centered around it is AWOL.

I think we will find a lot out in the next few months. Just be sure to listen to a media outlet that will inform you when it does. What I mean by that is not CNN/MSNBC, they aren't informing their listeners about things that have already taken place.
 
I'm a lifelong conservative and still consider myself as such, but this whole political show is exactly why I have grown to resist partisan politics--i.e. politics in general. If Donald Trump did for Don Jr what Joe Biden did for his son (nefarious or not) , the uproar from the left would be incredible. At the same time, if Obama did what Trump did in respects to the phone call to Ukraine (again, nefarious or not), the right would be just as livid.

George Washington spoke like a prophet when he warned the American people concerning the dangers of partisan politics:
