Such a tool. All he cares about is people liking his walk across the street. It is very clear he did it get enough love or hugs as a child and thrives on attention now.

Dr. Fauci is somewhere with his fist balled up like Arthur right now. They were mad at people for
Going to the beach 3 weeks ago, now look..Are we really not worried about the Covid anymore? Man, I’m honestly confused. What is the more immediate threat? Racial injustices or a civilization ending virus? I need to know where to channel my concern right now.

You forgot murder hornets

But what evidence was there that these exact protesters were the ones who lit the church up the previous night? That's kind of misleading.
I lived in DC. That church is across the street basically. If there are thousands protesting , then they would cover the area, in a way you can't separate the groups.

There is a 0% chance this would help anything ?. If Covid is still out there and IF it is what they say it is, then it will be off to the races again here very very soon. Especially with the way these young people are gathered neck and neck in New York City.

I think some of what has been going on may be pent up frustration...which is why I've argued some that seeing sports play would help as it can be an outlet. I mean I'll be honest, and this is not politics related, but I've been doing some new stuff and some stuff that I hadn't done in a while. I'm surviving, but it's just really weird. Right now it's like I'm a teen again (baseball/basketball ended up kind of replacing video games for me, for me it was a return to the Braves and then I hopped on a bandwagon in 2015), except I do not have a game console.

I need football I’m going to go mad without it ?

It is misleading but it did happen. If I’m not mistaken, there is a lot if presidential history with that church. I think that walk across the street might have sent a mixed message but I do think it had good intentions. The Bible photo op, which I believe was well intentioned, looked pretty bad though. Not sure what intern encouraged him to do that.

Most likely fired now

I just want to say June 14-19 my family and I is going to pigeon forge on vacation. COVID 19 and these crazy riots and protest will be the last thing on my mind. I hope it’s a break from the madness

We booked our cabin for December in Gatlinburg this past weekend. We are going for the Christmas parade weekend again. Such a great family trip. This is our 3rd year in a row.

I don’t understand how putting a black square on your IG is gonna make much of a difference real change doesn’t come by social media. I think a big reason why black people are killed disproportionately is because their communities are policed heavier because of crime from gangs. I mean think about it the more cops in a area with high crime the more killings their is going to be. Now I understand that a lot of the reason that black people are in their own communities by themselves is because of what happened during segregation but we can’t fix that now. One of the biggest problems I’ve seen and my moms a teacher is lack of a father or a mother figure in these communities she would teach kids with one parent usually doing everything typically a mother. I mean think about yourselves if you didn’t have your father to raise your right or your mother to care for you wouldn’t turn out right. Now think about someone in a community with no figure to look up to all they think they have is a gang to go to we need to be giving to organizations helping organizations that help show these kids that their is someone to look up to their is another way besides joining a gang. If you take the younger generations away from the gangs then crime will decrease in these areas and decrease the amount of cop presence in these areas which should decrease police killings. I believe action true action is the key to all this not posting a black box on IG or even going to a protest but actually trying to make these communities better.

This lack of family structure is definitely a large issue for the black community and it gets very complex quickly from there. I have worked with thousands of kids and (in general) there are definitely emotional, developmental, and educational challenges and patterns that can be seen in fatherless households; of all races. Unfortunately, the last estimates I have seen show up to 80% of AA children now grow up without their father which is astounding. That number was only about 25% in 1960. Children often experience a myriad of feelings when parents are not present; including sadness, hurt, anger, and rejection. The stats are pretty consistent that children from fatherless families have significantly higher rates of poverty, educational difficulties, mental health difficulties, teenage pregnancy, gang affiliation, and crime as they age. This phenomenon can easily become multi-generational. Social programs, which certainly have their place, often greatly compound this particular issue as there are rarely proper plans and steps in place to help these families (single moms and maybe older kids who can work) improve education level, job skills, or living situations to be able to work gainfully enough to get off those programs, which can also turn into multi-generational dependence. Eligibility for some of these programs increase for single moms, which actually discourages the presence of fathers and reinforces the cycle. This only scratches the surface of a very complex set of issues and there are no easy answers.

Yes totally a reason to have a US military helicopter hovering 50 feet over their heads to intimidate them.

Maybe this year if we have a hurricane and they issue a curfew i will go to waffle house and get buzzed by an F15!

I haven't done my homework on this particular incident, but is it possible the helicopter was there to dissuade any would be rioters, looters, and arson enthusiasts RATHER than the protesters themselves? If I were protesting, I think I would be more at ease knowing people were there to stop the ugliness, thereby keeping me safer. Maybe there is another perspective here?
