We got my 4 yr old a 14 foot trampoline my wife somehow thinks I can put together in the dark on xmas eve. This storm is saving my butt!!! No way to do it in the rain and wind.

Nc gets shafted on the 12z GFS. Great run for tennessee, georgia and alabama though. Mountains really destroy hopes for snow in nc

Yeah, I would forget about getting snow from this system. I know that sounds harsh, but it’s not good for anybody to hug the only model that barely has a storm in an unfavorable setup in the longer range.

GFS has a lot of consistency with this system. Still skeptical of the setup. Very rarely does rain change to snow during FROPA precip.

I rather have the front either go away or be pushed back a day or two and have dry and mid-upper 50s for Christmas Eve/Christmas at this point.

It did, but that was a storm, not cold chasing rain.

I also think that having the -AO is important as that is keeping the polar vortex weak where the cold can be tapped into.
