I wouldn’t say poof lol it’s a signal we have to watch and the signal is still there easily for something to work out with that pattern setting up Christmas week .. models are just showing all sorts of solutions right nowFantasy storm definitely went poof

Probably and more likely setting up to be cold but dry as a bone Xmas period ... mighty low dew points being modeled in that time periodI wouldn’t say poof lol it’s a signal we have to watch and the signal is still there easily for something to work out with that pattern setting up Christmas week .. models are just showing all sorts of solutions right now
I'm too cheap to have the pretty EPS maps but the Canadian ensembles weren't as tragic as the GEFS. It'll be interesting to see how the pacific evolves after ChristmasWell, I hope we score something around the holiday because after that GEFS turns pretty crappy IMO. Looking like we lose the -NAO and ridging comes east, no blocking up top. ? It starts to try to build back at the end, but it's the end. Hope this changes up.

Hey the models have been trying to go that way in the long term for a while and we have seen around or inside D10 things continue to be less warm and more EC trough. Let's hope that continuesLol, me too. I keep telling myself once we get into a really good pattern I'd splurge and get a subscription. I'm still waiting for that!
Yeah, the ones I've seen posted from yesterday all want to shift the Greenland block east to a big ole stupid WAR, so that seems to be the theme. Like you said, hopefully to offset we get a -EPO/+PNA for cold. Problem with that is everything becomes so progressive and we're cold/dry at best while waiting for a high to time just right with a shortwave.
It's just never easy I guess....
