Let's see if the gfs can do anything with the stuff in the rockies
With gfs/euro on board, I don’t see how we don’t escape a winter storm near sometime late December. Likely after Christmas. Too cold and dry to escape some type of cad event. 10 below zero dry air trapped at the surface. ?

Would we already be seeing some kind of precipitation showing in the models around Christmas if we were going to get any with the cold shot or is this too far out to have any idea?

Another ice storm on the 24th per the CMC.
High can slide out to sea doesn’t matter...no way we recover from the surface with negative DP that quick. Ice.

Winter is coming, and the models are showing strong signals of it bringing a winter storm with it sometime around Christmas through the new year. I like how we're looking here in the Triangle.
