I like the weathebug apps temperature map. Shows CAD and the 32 degree lines very well in winter.

Tomorrow morning looking like my type of weather around here. Gonna be somewhere in the 30s and may even have some elevated Thunderstorms forming. The NAM even has some elevated convection further northwest where it will be below freezing.

Yeah actually a little shock to the system out there.
I’d check the soundings and see if anywhere close by is looking at a chance for thunder sleet. I’ve experienced that once in my life in February 1996 and it’s definitely worth a chase.

I remember getting that once (Feb 79 I think) where ATL got 4 + inches of sleet. "Thunder sleet" was much louder than regular thunderstorms.. even.. and saw some GC strikes. was very weird

I was thinking similar on the temperatures. Was originally supposed to hit 60, but have been stuck in the mid 40’s all day.

Could definitely see a legit tornado threat for many on the board later this coming week depending on where Zeta goes inland over the SE US
Tons and tons of shear combined from a interacting TC and ULL, some models spit out over 60kts at 3km
What do you think about a straight line wind threat as the trough moves in behind Zeta?
HRRR is really starting to show a good bit of sleet around OKC during mid-late tomorrow morning under the heaviest bands. Maybe some thunder as well?
