I’m not saying this is happening my boi. I’m saying that’s just what happens with a -EPO and has countless times, I’m just giving a example of a -EPO and it’s issues
If your in the SE you want that ridge over the Aleutians to slide into AK, If it stays over the Aleutians islands then the SE ridge becomes a big issue 
I just want that ridge to connect with that -EPO it wants to do it so bad

I just got home from work not too long ago, my station read 46.4 degrees when I walked in, I got undressed laid down for a minute before going back downstairs to see that it dropped down to 45.3

I’m in south clt. This morning I came down at 5:30am and it was 31.2. At 6:15am we dropped to 28.3. Plenty of time to drop. I think we see 25-27F range tonight.
If the wind dies off fully plenty of room for many to drop to around 18-22 just not sure it does
Looks like mine. 37.6 and dropping fast.
gonna be a long hard freeze tonight...might get below freezing by 7-8 and stay there for a solid 12 hrs.....

That would be a 1053 high coming SE into the US. A high that strong would undercut anything (SE ridge) as it moves southeastward. I would take this look any day:
