Severe weather looms on DAY 5/6
That's usually a prelude to an arctic outbreak, I'm all in! Ten days after thunder in fall/winter, we get snow! Just ask Brick!Severe weather looms on DAY 5/6

All I see is lots of blue in the East and South! Keep em coming!!Understanding that folks hate links and prefer graphics, unfortunately posting a 15 day ensemble with all the members would take up pages. So, here you go: link, load and scroll - the 12Z GFS ensemble isn't giving up on us SE folks (there's always tomorrow for dispair, but for now, still hanging tough) ... (PSU doen't have the 18Z) ...

Is warming up necessarily a bad thing ? Normal or above normal temps this time of year are pretty comfy. The only bad thing about the 18z was that it warms up after a while, but it did so in fantasy land so maybe that isn't there in this run haha.

Yup that’s a good cold run0z Gfs has snow in Tennessee right before looney land begins hehe.
And as thought, the warmup is replaced with the hammer dropping cold wise.
Yeah, this could get little interesting for a minor event for TN maybe north Bama. If the low trended south a bit with enough cold air, then something could happen. Thanksgiving miracle :weenie::weenie:Let the southern trend happen with this low pressure that has been showing up on the 23rd. It may turn out that there will be enough cold air to support winter weather for some.

That's nothing more than a glorified cold front. The associated energy comes in way to far to the east and trough is way too for east as well. Maybe the mountains can squeeze a flake or two. Yeah, its nothing like the older runs showed with some energy and cold following an initial cold snap. I am in agreement with you that we should see a better chance next month, and let's hope something doesn't screw it up!That's nothing more than a glorified cold front. Negative Nancy! Some of our biggest snows come in March and November should have about the same sun angle! That's nothing more than a glorified cold front. The contrast is that March ends the winter ... watch what you wish for ...Negative Nancy! Some of our biggest snows come in March and November should have about the same sun angle!![]()
And ground temps !Negative Nancy! Some of our biggest snows come in March and November should have about the same sun angle!![]()
November has a much lower sun angle than March and November is typically colder than March. Right now we have a sun angle equivalent to late January.Negative Nancy! Some of our biggest snows come in March and November should have about the same sun angle!![]()
