I am really disappointed in the fog forecast for this morning. RAH built it up like we were going to get some really bad fog. We need an undense fog advisory. In downtown Raleigh, visibility is at least 2-3 miles.

I kinda like this look. Yeah, it's 384, but I don't care. I'd be ok with some evolution in this direction.
-EPO cold/suppressive lobe in central Canada, not bad but it’s the 384 hour gfs
ULL forming over AK Bay may intensify into something. But then again it's 384 hrs out.

Side note Sabastian just formed. Crazy how late and how far out to sea it is. Waters must be above normal. I haven't seen any SST this morning.

Looks like Sebastian will be short lived. Dry air to the west and some severe wind shear to the north of the center. Wonder how it will effect the big scheme of things. Perhaps Eric could chime in.

Yeah, this is what I was talking about with the back and forth looks in the long range. They change from day to day. No sense in getting too happy or sad about anything outside 10 days.

I noticed after about 180 hours there is quite the spread of solutions across the SE. Anywhere from severe storms and wrap around snows to boring cold frontal passages. I find that encouraging.
After the past few days I’m not sure I want it to be.
So to be specific, what do you guys think about Thanksgiving day? Different solutions from the major models. GFS would have a week CAD setup that would get central NC northwards into cooler air. Folks south of that would be "soupy". Canadian and euro (from last night) would be cooler with a nice cold frontal passage.
FWIW: 12z Euro showed less ridging, less heat than 0z and yesterday 12z. Wow I love this trend so far this fall.

Agree Brent... that type cold is useless without moisture ...
Looks like Thanksgiving is going to be bookended by gullywashers!
