So we had a kid who was fresh out of high school that started here. Some of us older guys were talking about the breakfast club and he walks up and says "I love breakfast, how do I join that club"

I can tell you one thing dewpoint dan, that winter was snow and ice up everyone's asses! Three winter storms in December

Naughty November is delivering good on some late summer beach weather. However, the upper regions of the Northern Hempisphere are doing quite well with all the cold. Let it continually build up and maybe we'll have some wild configurations over the main course of winter.
Summit Camp Greenland got down to -46 just a few days ago. Temps in Siberia are really cold (even for their metrics). We are well on our path to an opportunity if we can refrain from going zonal in the latter months.

The fact we can get a TC into the GOM, maybe even the NE GOM, but not pull it north or even make landfall just shows how much we suck at getting a decent trough to beat back the semi-permanent SER

I took off next week to deer hunt this all but guarantees 70's and or rain the whole week....I need some cold air and well.....meh.
I like how the CMC is the only model that shows a severe weather setup, weak signal on gefs, however gfs is very progressive with it along with the icon 
The CMC and GFS operational runs for Monday couldn't be further apart.
Fixed!
Interesting to see what euro does, UK was about to bulldoze that shortwave East And probably tilt it negatively
