15z SREF plumes looking solid now for CHA. 1.76" mean. 9 members are 2+ inches. Only 3 members have less than 1/2".

NAM isn't very far from me getting at least an inch from this. Hoping the trends continue.
While the NAM is headed back in the right direction and getting close to something quasi big for NC.... the 3k NAM didn't do me any favors lol

Yeah it's just a few ticks away from dropping closer to 6" in a few spots west of the highway 1 corridor.
The jet streak will enhance precipitation. but, i just realized versus previous runs of the GFS, the 12z GFS had the streak too. like the NAM, interesting.

Here is the new hrrr (hrrrx) which I think is replacing the hrrr eventually. The 0,6,12, 18z runs goes out to 36 hours compared to 18 hours with the other hourly runs and currently used hrrr. It has the band weakening but not as bad as the nam into Ga and looks like it begins redevelopment at the end of the run. Interested in seeing how this model does in the end.
Birmingham folks and around Tuscaloosa need to hope the NAM is wrong with that dry area around us. I am hoping its off.

Radar in Ark looks to be starting to form what I believe to be the sw limb of the system around Mountain Home Ark. I would like to get excited, but looking at water vapor imagery we have a lot of dry air to overcome in the low and mid levels.

Atlanta peeps icon looks good and better than last run.
ICON going to once again have beefy precip amounts over the Carolina's but temps problematic however, I keep hearing it has a warm bias so there is that...

Not looking good with latest for anyone in AL except extreme NW.
ICON is a little better for our area. All we really need is that band that gets tapped by the gulf to trend a hair NW.
It's interesting how the WWA in AL goes well into SE AL almost to Dothan but in GA the WWA doesnt go south of Carrollton.

There could be an inch on the ground and Brad would still be saying maybe a dusting in some areas. I don’t why he’s like that. If the model data is there showing that, use it.
German model with similar parameterizations as the Euro just not as high a resolution, it's done fairly well this Winter especially with the coastal the other week.... it's fairly new, limited verification scores but like I said it's been solid in certain situations.

It's certainly had a better handle on this system than other models like the GFS/CMC granted its surface temps might be a bit questionable

He's always like that. It's like he gets annoyed when everyone starts talking about it but then when it actually looks like the sh*t is about to hit the fan, he'll bump up his snow meter to 8 and start jumping aboard.

ICON goes bonkers over Charlotte w/ 0.5-0.6" QPF... That would be easily half a foot w/ the ratios this storm is likely to have. Brad P would take heat for his forecast of maybe an inch at most lol
