Wintry More SE Snow ? (1/16-1/18)

Trolls on the other board are worried about the warm nose in Wake.

What warm nose lol there isn't warm or cold air advection aloft, the winds are parallel to pressure contours aloft. Smh that's american for ya... Cyclonic vorticity advection is among the most dominant lifting mechanisms here

Liking the NW trend for that precip in MS. This storm has already had a good amount of surprises so definitely could trend even better. Hoping more get in on the action that didn't last time. NC and SC peeps will surely score big with the way things are evolving!

This belongs in banter I know, but funny how all of us cuss the GFS and then it shows a ridiculous amount and it is the all knowing...
No, it has come in line with other guidance. They are all showing essentially the same thing now.

Yeah, plus there more in Texas/La moving east as well. Slow as this storm is moving we might see more than models show. Long night ahead

Idk, gut feeling tells me Central/South Alabama is gonna jackpot tonight. I hope so, we all deserve it

No offense, but if anybody “deserves it” it’s N AL. Central and S Bama had theirs in December. Not gonna happen for N Bama this time around though. All those model runs showing the line breaking up and drying out for us were correct.

Just about dark and it is 34 and very fine light snow falling hopeful a long night of snow watching:rolleyes:

It has dropped 9 degrees in a little bit over an hour

It pretty much always snows atleast once per winter in north alabama. We sometimes go years at a time without seeing a flake lol muchless a decent snowfall.
