Wintry More SE Snow ? (1/16-1/18)

Don't know if it will have any ramifications or not, but that line is dissipating as it enters the apps in far east TN and western NC. If our snow is dependent upon that main band, then we are in trouble.
It was predicted by the models to do that so it should not have any effect on TN/NC

See the precip starting to blossom away from the main line, SW of ATL? It's happening! And look at the water vapor imagery , thing of beauty!
I've had intermittent virga already, well ahead. It's still nearly 47, but apparently that becomes history pretty quickly. I wouldn't mind having some of that front runner rain to juice up the column. Already had a bit of virga snow go by just under me. And looking back in w Texas I wonder if we'll see some flurries tomorrow night if that rides this way? T

Tiny flakes here now for the last hourish. Its been snowing non stop since that first band around 4. We have a dusting. Everything is becoming covered. For now, the roads are just wet. The radar looks to be beginning to fill in again from here to bham and hopefully that snow back into mississippi keeps it together and makes its way this way.

I'm in Hoover near the Galleria and we've not gotten much snow at all. A few flurries but that's about it. Maybe there's more to come?

You can really see this thing about to go neutral! Cloud stream trying to go N-S orientation !
