Pattern Microwave March

@wxbrad: Marginal soundings & soil temps like this with 3 warm days ahead. Don't buy into the snow accumulation talk for the Piedmont. #ncwx #cltwx

I wouldn't even call NE GA that much of a longshot any more due to the steady southward trends.
Maybe the GEFS will give us some hope, but for now, good to see the MA, like DC, completely getting nothing. I expect the south trend to bring NE GA into the game by tomorrow evening IF the trend keeps up.

Is that argument valid at all? I know it will melt some, but with the rates, there will be at least some accumulation if the storm occurs as modeled.

You also have to love the GFS trend map, SW each run.

This makes me even more confident. Brad busts consistently and always sits atop his high horse. I know expect accumulation

I can't but help to see that my local forecast around Sunday has gone crazy lately. It was 54 earlier, with Saturday night around 44, and now Sunday is sunny and 60, with Saturday night 40. Was warmer on both a couple of days ago.

Even more fun

@wxbrad: Any model snowfall map is going to be completely bogus. 2m Temps above freezing, warm ground & ratios nowhere near 10:1 Why post??

Oh, I'd gladly like to see a winter storm hit for the upper south while the MA completely misses. It'd be such a troll.

LOL, he needs to go back to school, and get his eyes checked too! The ground temps are below freezing, and the Kuchera ratios are close to 10, and lowest in upper NC is 6.

What's the deal with all the hatred towards the MA ? I don't see the same hatred towards the Ohio Valley region ?

If it were depicted like it is, ground temps wouldn't matter after the first hour. But we still have a ways to go before seeing...

Maybe he's talking about the Charlotte area specifically. Much of northern NC is near to below freezing on many models

I'm back after a several days off, I've been watching that dam in CA lately. I see that the GFS has been trending more and more south over the past days with that weekend system. Euro is not as aggressive with the snow, but I hope it trends even further south to let AL, GA and SC be at play. We can't miss out!

18z gefs has timing issues obviously with the mid week system next week but it's pretty interesting

If anyone is going snow chasing, I hope that they don't post their room number and the hotel that they are staying at like that guy did on the previous board.
