I realized that the 1st time I started here (after years elsewhere) - but slowly and surely and accelerating ... :)

When I hear Stephanie Abrams say
" Fropa" and how the atmosphere is like a " hamburger" , I get chills and realize, I could do this! :)

This is the first time going back at least to the start of records (1879) that there have been 13 straight months AN at ATL. The old record was 12 in 1881-2.

This colder 11-15 day 6Z GFS run is largely being ignored for good reasons: 1) very strong cold bias that has been this way for the entire winter; 2) 6-10 of this same run is actually still mild and about as warm as any recent GFS run; 3) its own ensemble members are mostly much warmer in the 11-15 than this operational run 4) it is far different from the warmest 11-15 day run recently, which was the prior run; 5) The 0Z EPS and GEPS means are much warmer and are also warmer than their respective prior runs
