Pattern Microwave March

Can we please get the 850mb low about 75 miles south please. Right now it's cruising right along I40 or maybe just north and that's going to go no one in NC any favors

Obviously weather is a passion for us - but dealing with FEMA and no power or other amenities 2X in a couple weeks (other than the nice lady who runs the Kangaroo a half a mile down the road and who kept me filled with coffee and beer for a week with #1, and then again with Mathew at no charge) was about enough for a while!

I always liked using the phrase "don't count your juvenile poultry before the process of incubation is thoroughly materialized". I grew up on a chicken farm

Something to keep in mind this upcoming hurricane season... The new GFS likely to be even worse than the current operational in short-medium range. Lmao

Raw and adjusted T #s continue to rise w/ Enawo, it's almost a category 5 hurricane and is about to make landfall in northern Madagascar. Disaster unfolding...

Going to hit in almost the exact same spot and intensity as Gafilo (2004) which killed about 250 people in Madagascar, and is the costliest natural disaster in their history. Not good fam.

Need the trough off of New England to dig further south & deepen, and our disturbance coming out of the Rockies to flatten... Getting the latter to trend in our favor is less probable than the former.

Maximum sustained winds are currently 125 knots (~ 145 MPH) and minimum central pressure is ~ 929mb. Gafilo was the strongest storm ever recorded in the southwestern Indian Ocean, became a category 5 hurricane w/ a minimum central pressure of 895, nearly equivalent to Hurricane Allen (1980) & Rita (2005).

Sounds like the Euro got the pressure on this storm as we thought. Definitely going to be very bad for that area when it makes landfall.
 
You know it's going to snow, Brick is jeopardizing his job to check in! He said awhile back they really cracked down on using the Internet , when they should be working!

Yea the Euro was virtually right on the $ with this one. The most intense part of this storm, the southwestern semicircle of the eyewall, is about to come ashore and is still intensifying... This is bad...

Agreed I would love to see that low farther south toward Maine versus Nova Scotia
