Something to keep in mind this upcoming hurricane season... The new GFS likely to be even worse than the current operational in short-medium range. Lmao

What exactly do us RDU folks need to be looking for on the 0z runs to get this thing to track the low south underneath us?
Do you happen to have the pressure on it?
Sounds like the Euro got the pressure on this storm as we thought. Definitely going to be very bad for that area when it makes landfall.Maximum sustained winds are currently 125 knots (~ 145 MPH) and minimum central pressure is ~ 929mb. Gafilo was the strongest storm ever recorded in the southwestern Indian Ocean, became a category 5 hurricane w/ a minimum central pressure of 895, nearly equivalent to Hurricane Allen (1980) & Rita (2005).

Agreed I would love to see that low farther south toward Maine versus Nova ScotiaNeed the trough off of New England to dig further south & deepen, and our disturbance coming out of the Rockies to flatten... Getting the latter to trend in our favor is less probable than the former.
Yep that area of cells ahead of the main line is pretty interestingThings are getting interesting in the Ozarks. SPC is concerned about tornadic supercells. Wind shear is very strong in this area
Yep destroys Kentucky12z Para is the wayyyy south of the 6z which is no surprise and a tick south of the 18z GFS.
