Pattern March Thread

The 0Z GFS is colder throughout most of the SE and now has KSAV with upper 20s for a low on Sunday 3/13. That would be the coldest since way back on 1/30 and only about 3 above the record! That would also be the coldest in March since 2017. It has 31 at @pcbjr abode and 38 all of the way down to south of Lakeland! The next day’s highs are way BN:

While still cold and well BN, Sunday on the 12Z GFS isn’t as cold in the SE overall as earlier runs.

High was 76 yesterday and upper 60s early this morning. It’s 48 and dropping now! What a difference a day makes. I believe the 00z euro showed a high of 70 here this upcoming Friday with a high around 30 and a few inches of snow on the ground by Saturday.

I’m seriously thinking about booking Friday Saturday night for Maggie valley to hopefully see a march snow thoughts?

One and done, but at least some beneficial rain and a nice day or so cool-down before fire season ...

1. After the upcoming beneficial rain, I’m looking forward to a great weekend of cold to cool, and very dry wx. Perfect for walking! I’m hoping for a freeze.

After the not as cold 12Z GFS, the 18Z came back a little colder:

2. Hogtown and KSAV both tied record highs today at 87/86.
