Gotta say that I sure did expect a lot larger coverage of rain/storms this morning. Concerns me big time for later.
There just wasn’t much model support for it. It could have been a saving grace, but what did form may have only enhanced the area along I-59. It is going to be a very long day today. Pretty much worse case scenario across AL.

Valid 151200Z - 161200Z

...SUMMARY...
A tornado outbreak is expected across the central Gulf Coast States
and Deep South into the Tennessee Valley. Numerous significant
tornadoes, some of which should be long-track and potentially
violent, are expected this afternoon and evening. The most dangerous
tornado threat should begin across eastern Louisiana and Mississippi
during the late morning to afternoon, spread across Alabama late day
into the evening, and reach western parts of the Florida Panhandle
and Georgia Saturday night.

Mixed bag of forecasting for north eastern ga (clarke/ Morgan/ lake country). Do y'all anticipate a high tornadic threat this far east? Appears wind threat has slightly dropped also for the area.

Wide open through here. Anybody’s game. I bet that heavy rain in NE AL is calming some nerves up there this morning though View attachment 171798

It was until we just got extended into moderate.

Local Mets were saying this has no impact on tonight basically

I think I am going to go over my friend house tonight. I have alot of trees around my house and my nerves and anxiety are through the roof right now. I will feel better If I say there til tomorrow morning. I hope this weaken some in metro ATL but it doesn't look like it. Praying for a better outcome overall today.

thick overcast with temps in the low 50’s. Really hope we hold onto that and limit convection and heating today
Yeah the wedge is holding pretty well right now, but there’s some SW winds coming in later. Also you have to wonder if some stuff might try to fire early along the wedge boundary as it starts lifting north
