Still looks amazing well inland
Still 140mph...very impressive. almost to the GA/AL/FL boarder now. I think the models are still trying to play catch up with the accelerating speed of Michael.
When is the last time a major hurricane was in GA ? Because it looks like it still may be a major as it crosses the GA border

Yep but at the rate it currently weakening this will still be a Cat 2-3 well into Parts of GA which is crazy

Wonder what is causing the SLP to strengthen as it goes through NC and for the winds on the backside to ramp up. Well, this is per the NAM.

Yeah but visibly it's starting to decline and there won't be an open one by tonight. The eyewall seems to be opening on the south side.
It's as classic a cane as you will see most times and it's 60 miles inland.... I can't think of any other adjectives. Incredible, insane, unreal, amazing....

I don't remember Maria making landfall in the U.S.
I’m seeing a good number of quick spin ups. Tornado threat looks pretty bad

Seriously though looking the the IR on Tropical the last few frames you definitely see a Wobble and it looks to be moving definitely more NNE on the Western Side of the Track that's gotta be watched
