I wonder why? A faster storm coming from the gulf should cause more issues across northern portions not less?

I think areas being affected worse have less population. I can't say for sure!

Also, the SPC map idea, I think I will leave that stuff off because I do not want to risk imagery not updating with actual warning data for tornadoes etc. and being responsible.

Yeah. The latest GFS increased wind gusts around here in north Georgia to 60-70 mph

That’s going to bring some higher wind speeds over larger area inland too. Especially with a stronger system as it might not spend as much time over the mainland
Chris. IMO it looks like it s wanting to "rabbit" inland much like Eloise, Opal and even Hugo.. and with the "full landfall" not until near the Big Bend, all of us "Georgia Folk" (and East Alabama) could be in for a ride.

That's truly worst if it picks up speed at landfall on GFS track and power we got issues throughout GA and north of ATL

Probably a wobble but last frame it either moved or jogged north, either away enough to clear if from the Cuban coast..... on your mark get set go

Eye wrapping up nicely now still moving pretty much du W very little N component
