Northwestern Franklin County in central North Carolina...
* Until 115 PM EDT.
* At 1242 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located near Franklinton, or 10 miles west of
Louisburg, moving north at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Henderson, Oxford, and Kittrell around 1250 PM EDT.
Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Dabney, Middleburg, South Henderson, Satterwhite Point Marina, and
Gillburg.
Western North Carolina is devastated. Asheville, Chimney Rock, Old Fort, Marion, Black Mountain. Friends and family in these areas are terrified and say it's unlike anything they've ever seen.
I guess they have just started making circles instead of cones. Might work better for them.
Man I hate to hear this. There are a lot of people suffering over such a huge area. Folks should really consider themselves lucky if they came away from this without major problems. Honestly I didn’t want any damage. I just wanted my power to go out for like 5 minutes just to say that I was part of the storm lol.Man I hate to hear this.
