I for one am glad they have passed through. The rain just ended at my house. Helene has affected more areas in the Southeast in different ways than any storm in my recent memory.

I’m pretty familiar with that area. It’s on the eastern side of Mt. Mitchell. I can’t imagine what the South Toe River looks like right now. Several campgrounds, homes, as well as Mount Mitchell Golf Course along the river through there.
