Euro has another 1-2 feet of rain through Wednesday. The only positive is the fact it kicks the surface low farther NE than previous runs and has it near Shreveport which may put an end to the rain in the Houston area by Thursday

12z Euro takes harvey SSE off the coast then turns it back north. 993 at 12z Wednesday making a second landfall around Houston

Also very far East this run. North of Louisiana at 120.

Getting picked up this run 1-3 inches of rain for a good part of Ga, Al, Tn, MS. High totals for Ark, La, western Tn

Harvey will definitely rank among the top 10 most costliest hurricanes I believe. I saw a few news outlets saying early estimates could be 40 billion, just above Ike, or the third most costly storm.

Harvey will be #1 in damage costs and sheer devastation ! It will be what Katrina was to Andrew ! Harvey will be the new Katrina, and will set the bar for along time, IMO

Raining in upstate SC late Friday night. Euro would also imply a tornado threat for Al, Ga on Friday. For those that don't have the good Euro maps the overall solution is very similar to the 12z Canadian

Looks like the Euro caved to the CMC on that part of the path.

I wouldn't call it a cave . There have been many ensemble members with a path like that and the op actually had paths like that as well a few days ago I also don't buy that path at the moment . I still think It goes west of the 12z euro track

The east path is great as it will put an end to the rain in Texas and give much of the board rain. On the flip side it sets the stage for a tornado threat for the entire region.

Yeah, that threat would be real. With all that energy and winds from the south colliding with the wedge, we could see the first run at severe weather of the fall.
