It's very sad to see this hurricane reach Cat 4 status. It should also serve as a reminder to those who kept saying this morning this hurricane would not reach a cat 4 status that anything is possible... especially when dealing with Mother Nature.

I feel sick at my stomach for those in the Austwell, Port O Connor, Rockport, and Seadrift areas that surge is going to be mindblowing.
Roughly 3300 feet. A good portion of that has to be mixing down in the heavy rainMan God help them... this is getting close to radar site so not far off the ground

Yeah I'll admit I didn't think it would become a category 4, this is going to be a cataclysmic disaster... First category 4-5 cane to hit Texas since Carla in 1961, first cat 4 since Charley in 2004, & it's the only gom storm since 1985 with a pressure below 973mb that intensified in the last 12 hours leading up to landfall. This is an incredible storm
