Will be interesting to see just how far inland it gets . The further inland it goes the higher the chances for a gfs like solution that drags on deep into next week. The closer it stays to the coast increases the influence the trough will have on it similar to PREVIOUS euro runs which pulled it NE a bit faster

well that's true . That's why it's gonna be interesting to see if it gets further inland like the gfs has or stays closer to the coast like previous euro runs had
Hell with the storm surge it has in it dumps two feet of rain it can move Inland and still be over the gulf because it's getting ready to erase the coastline

They measured winds of only 5kts in the eye on a recent dropsonde. Awaiting Cat 4 classification.

* Extreme Wind Warning for...
Southwestern Calhoun County in south Texas...
Aransas County in south central Texas...
East central Nueces County in south central Texas...
Eastern San Patricio County in south central Texas...
Central Refugio County in south central Texas...

* Until 700 PM CDT

At 454 PM CDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
extreme winds, associated with the eyewall of Hurricane Harvey,
were moving onshore 17 miles east of Key Allegro, or 18 miles east
of Rockport, moving northwest at 25 mph. This is an extremely
dangerous and life-threatening situation!

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Widespread destructive winds of 115 to 145 mph will spread across
Calhoun County, Aransas County, Nueces County, San Patricio
County, Refugio County, producing swaths of tornado-like damage.

TAKE COVER NOW! Treat these imminent extreme winds as if a tornado
was approaching and move immediately to the safe room in your
shelter. Take action now to protect your life!
