Tropical Major Hurricane Florence

Move to Banter or Delete, but ...
Folks,
If you are in a place that looks like you will lose power for more than 48, you really, really might wanna close all windows and set the AC as low as it will go, and run it until the power goes out ... Personally been w/o air for up to 7 days, and doing that will dry you out ahead of time so you can sleep 4 days later ... just don't open the windows before power returns or you'll have 95% humidity in an instant ... After Jeanne, Frances, Hermine and Irma and I'll go back no further, this really is a life comfort ... and if you can still find them at Target or Lowes, battery operated fans are a real plus ...
Good luck, y'all!
Best,
Phil

And actually more like stationary last hour since the NHC coordinates didn’t change 7PM to 8PM.

18Z HWRF similar to 12Z HWRF through SC but 18Z HMON further N than 12Z HMON.
Both make landfall just north of ILM.... all models show landfall ILM or just north with the exception of the Euro which doesn't quite make landfall

Still wobbling north of due west...

Not sure if this was already posted but the WPC precipitation forecasts are concerning for the HWY 74 corridor from Charlotte & points eastward. Still a chance for this to shift around some but 12-18" may be the standard for whoever gets underneath the most persistent banding.
