Let’s see if Cape Lookout can get in big eyewall later tonight. Then will know if it’s moving north or not. Looks stalled to me.

This hurricane just doesn't play by the rules. Doesn't she know she's supposed to weaken as she approaches land ?
Yeah it stalled earlier than had a burst of movement and looks to have stalled again.... some of the short range models show this sporadic movement

I heard someone on the radio say this thing would get back to cat4. It's possible but imo I don't see that happening

That's funny brick but really should be in banter.... while I'm at it Brick's not the only one that should utilize our Tropical Storm banter thread. Why even go up to 105 in the first place just to go back to 100?
Especially when buoy reports seem to support at least the 105 mph.... weird
ABC11 reporting almost 90k without power now, going to be a while for some of them to get power back hope they were prepared.
And actually more like stationary last hour since the NHC coordinates didn’t change 7PM to 8PM.
18Z HWRF similar to 12Z HWRF through SC but 18Z HMON further N than 12Z HMON.

Alabama power is in Atlanta today waiting for the call from Nick Saban. Saw the caravan of trucks on 1-20. GA power loading up tonight.
