Back to nothing at all
I'm getting 4" reports from my FB page followers in Johnston County. This is an all-time comeback for our area.
I'm in the band. It has been training SE to NW.That band is over me right now and it's SCREAMING.
That’s sad. I just checked my total and we are sitting right around 3.5” here.Just not an enjoyable one here in CAE. Entire storm was summed up by 1 45 min burst of snow. Some back end snow working in now that might give us another inch, but I’ll unfortunately remember this one more so for the exciting days leading up to it rather than the day of the storm itself. Congrats to everyone that scored & for the Raleigh area filling things in & saving things at the last second.
I’m at 2 inches. Enjoy the night fam.
We have a conga lineI'm in the band. It has been training SE to NW.
It should be snowing on your end. That’s sad. I just checked my total and we are sitting right around 3.5” here.
It's amazing how N Harnett has missed on the heavy stuff. Just a light dusting so as of 9pm at 19 degrees.Back to nothing at all
We are at our prime time right now, my friend.State was clearly the dry slot here.
Snowing as hard as it has all day here. This is gonna pile up.
Do y’all think the band about to hit Raleigh will make it to the Triad?View attachment 193021
Instead of come to Jimmy we can at last say it came to JimmyGentlemen I’m gonna go ahead and say it
You could live 10 lifetimes and you might not see another one play out that way around here
An old fashioned Carolina snowstorm
Top 3..easy
I’ve always heard that theory, especially because some of the water stays warmer than normal because of the nuke plantI’m totally convinced this narrow band along I-77 from Mooresville to Fort Mill right now is a streamer off Lake Norman.
I am maybe 10 miles or so north of Fayetteville and it is snowing fairly good now but it is less than 1/2 inch right now. We went from the jackpot on many model runs to, well probably the lowest.Does anyone know how much Fayetteville, NC, has received? They were dry most of the day despite many model runs burying them and I haven’t seen any recent mention of that city.
Nice to see that slot fill in over Raleigh. Happy for the Carolinas. You guys got crushed and are getting crushed and im jealous.
I definitely didn't expect that. I thought it'll take on a more SSW-NNE tilt along the I-95.I'm in the band. It has been training SE to NW.
Yeah the banding is definitely not running like I was expecting.I definitely didn't expect that. I thought it'll take on a more SSW-NNE tilt along the I-95.
Your location and south Wake were the last to get out of the dry slot. Radar looks to be generating heavier returns now. I see no reason why you couldn't get a couple of inches with the time we have left. It's amazing how N Harnett has missed on the heavy stuff. Just a light dusting so as of 9pm at 19 degrees.
Unfortunately, high ratio snow melts quicker than low ratio snow, right? Is any of this gonna melt tomorrow?

I'm loving it. I'm hoping for 4 maybe 5".I definitely didn't expect that. I thought it'll take on a more SSW-NNE tilt along the I-95.
Two hours straight now of super impressive rates. Radar shows we could be at this another 4-5 hours… if so, I wouldn’t be surprised to hit half a foot. But we shall see!Pick up 0.8 inches in an hour in North Durham. Up to 2.7 inches.
12+ most likely! Maybe 14”Wonder what the official snowfall measurement will be in Charlotte?
Official CLT measurement is CLT Airport I believe. I would think they're at 7-9 inches. North Charlotte and probably extreme Northeast Charlotte / Mecklenburg County probably got the most snow at over 10 inches I would guess.Wonder what the official snowfall measurement will be in Charlotte?
Seems like the modeling has these bands falling apart sometime over the next few hours as the lifting moves to our east. Hoping they are being a little too quick with that. Two hours straight now of super impressive rates. Where you at in Wake Co?I'm loving it. I'm hoping for 4 maybe 5".
Think they have had it off Kerr lake a few times!I’ve always heard that theory, especially because some of the water stays warmer than normal because of the nuke plant
I’ve heard that but I got 7 inches in January 2003 at 40:1 ratio and I had a fully covered yard for 3 daysUnfortunately, high ratio snow melts quicker than low ratio snow, right?
I’m just shy of 11” here, tough bc I’m sure some accums were blown off with the wind and drifting. Really want that 12” measurement but not sure we have enough left!
