Wish we could get a heavy band come through here. It’s 17 with almost heavy snow
I was wondering looking at the radar if that’s what that was. Can’t say I’ve ever seen that at Lake Norman beforeCan’t get the image to attach but I’m pretty sure there is some lake effect coming off of Lake Norman on the west side of Charlotte/Meck Co.
Coming down good here. Not really big flakes but it is coming down fast. Greg Fishel still saying 4 inches here is possible.
How much snow did you get last night up your way? We didn't have any down where I am, but I am just curious. Maybe I need to measure and see if I have more snow out there than I think I do, because eyeballing it, I was figuring it was in the 3-4" range. Or maybe N Durham always wins no matter the setup, hah! Our calling card might be holding onto the snow a little longer than you up in Northern Durham County, but that may not make much difference.Earlier I measured three on the driveway when I was blowing it off. Now, there’s two and a half more inches there. Six is a forgone conclusion - maybe eight?
Isn't blowing the snow off the driveway the most satisfying thing ever??Earlier I measured three on the driveway when I was blowing it off. Now, there’s two and a half more inches there. Six is a forgone conclusion - maybe eight?
Yeah I remember I live pretty close by there and I measured 9-9.5” about 45 minutes ago. You're about 30 miles as the crow flies from me and it's crazy how different our OBS is, especially considering there were no P-type issues. Man, I wish I was at my parents' place in GSO for this one...
Looks like the 00z run held it back a little more over the Triangle than the 23z run. Maybe there's hope we can pull a cat out of the bag and make this storm not such a fail for the Wake County folks?HRRR locked in to give RAH 3-6”View attachment 192990

I gotta say. I’ve been using the shovel just because of how easy it is to move this pure powderIsn't blowing the snow off the driveway the most satisfying thing ever??
Just a trace actually. I drove through Cedar Grove today and they got enough to cover the ground. How much snow did you get last night up your way? And I also think it was more longitude than latitude. We just squeezed in the ULL band. How much snow did you get last night up your way? We didn't have any down where I am, but I am just curious. For coverage it might be. Intensity and totals, nah.Gentlemen I’m gonna go ahead and say it
You could live 10 lifetimes and you might not see another one play out that way around here
An old fashioned Carolina snowstorm
